1. Purpose

Grace Blue Europe is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful and professional working environment in which all individuals are treated fairly and with dignity and respect.

This policy sets out Grace Blue Europe’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion (“EDI”) and confirms that discrimination, harassment, bullying and victimisation will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Grace Blue Europe recognises that a diverse and inclusive workplace strengthens collaboration, innovation, decision-making and business performance.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

- employees
- workers and contractors
- consultants and freelancers
- agency workers
- job applicants
- clients, suppliers and third parties who interact with Grace Blue Europe

The policy applies throughout all areas of employment and engagement, including:

- recruitment and selection
- pay and benefits
- promotion and career development
- training and development
- performance management
- disciplinary and grievance procedures
- workplace conduct and relationships
- termination of employment or engagement


3. Policy Statement

Grace Blue Europe is committed to:

- preventing unlawful discrimination, harassment, bullying and victimisation
- making employment decisions fairly and objectively
- supporting diversity of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives
- complying with all relevant equality and employment legislation

Grace Blue Europe will not tolerate discrimination on the basis of any protected characteristic, including:

- age
- disability
- gender reassignment
- marriage or civil partnership
- pregnancy or maternity
- race, nationality or ethnic origin
- religion or belief
- sex

4. Responsibilities
Company Responsibilities

Grace Blue Europe will:

- take reasonable steps to prevent discrimination, harassment and victimisation
- ensure policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently
- provide equal access to opportunities wherever reasonably possible
- make reasonable adjustments for disabled employees and applicants where required
- investigate complaints promptly, fairly and confidentially
- take appropriate disciplinary action where breaches occur


Employee Responsibilities

All employees, workers and contractors are expected to:

- treat others with dignity and respect
- contribute to an inclusive and professional workplace culture
- avoid discriminatory, bullying or harassing behaviour
- report concerns or breaches of this policy
- cooperate with investigations where required

- Any breach of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal or termination of engagement.

5. Definitions
Equality: Ensuring fair treatment and equal access to opportunities for all individuals.

 

Diversity: Recognising, respecting and valuing individual differences, backgrounds and perspectives.

 

Inclusion: Creating an environment where individuals feel welcomed, respected, supported and able to contribute fully.

Discrimination: Treating someone unfairly because of a protected characteristic.

Harassment: Unwanted conduct that violates a person’s dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading or offensive environment.

Victimisation: Treating someone unfairly because they have raised or supported a complaint under this policy or relevant legislation.

6. Complaints

Anyone who believes they have experienced discrimination, harassment, bullying or victimisation should raise the matter through the appropriate manager or the company grievance procedure.

All complaints will be:

- treated seriously
- handled sensitively and confidentially where possible
- investigated promptly and fairly

Retaliation against anyone raising a concern in good faith will not be tolerated.

Where complaints are upheld, disciplinary action may be taken, up to and including dismissal.

7. Monitoring & Review

Grace Blue Europe will review this policy periodically to ensure it remains effective, compliant with current legislation and aligned with best practice.
